If you are someone who has been using ChatGPT for a while and wants to integrate it to WhatsApp, then this blog is only for you. Here we are using OpenAI API, WhatsApp API, and uses FastAPI for Creating a webhook. Looks interesting na? So Let's get Botified.

<h1 id="opanai">OpenAI Developer</h1>

You need OpenAI API key to use OpenAI API and SDK. We are using this to send our messages to OpenAI thus we'll get the appropriate response from OpenAI based on the request. You can sign up for a free OpenAI account [here](https://platform.openai.com/).

On Successful signup, you need to create a API Key. To do this visit the API Keys [page](https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys). Then click on `Create new secret key` and give any name.

> You need to paste this key into your .env file. So For now, Just note down the API KEY.

You can sign up for a free facebook developer account [here](https://developers.facebook.com/).

Once developer account setup is completed, You're required to create a new app.

1. On dashboard, Click on `Create App` button.

2. Initially, It'll ask you to select the purpose of the app. Each option has some predefined configurations inside the app. If you don't know what to select, Select `Others`.

3. Then, you'll need to select the type of the App. Here select `Business` which is more related to our requirement.

4. After that, Type `App Name`, `Contact Email`, `Business Account`. These data can be anything.

5. In App Dashboard, There you can see various type of integration. Select Setup which is in `WhatsApp` card.

6. Click on `Start Using The API`.

7. Here you can find Temporary access token (we can also create long lived access token), Test phone number, Your phone number, and a sample WhatsApp API request.

> You need to paste this Access token and Test phone number into your .env file. So For now, Just note down the Access token and Test phone number.

Since this is a developement mode, You are allowed to have 5 numbers from the test number. It'll only work from this 5 numbers. If you want to use this bot in real time people, you are required to purchase a phone number and need to verify your business.

8. Subscribe the fields based on the requirement. Only `messages` field is enough for events that has to be trigged on messages. But for now, You can select all the permissions.

9. Need to configure the Webhook for integrating WhatApp with our Backend code.

- Clone the project

Is is similar to standard SQL but with some changes that allows to work with ZohoCRM objects.

Since it is based on standard SQL, it allows various querying techniques like get only required fields, filtering, sorting, aggregation and traversing relationships between objects.

Modules represent a table that stores specific types of data. It is analogous to a column in a spreadsheet. Simply Modules are entities that holds records with related information.

- Stages - Based on your sales process.
- Criteria - For moving opportunities between two pipeline stages.
- Metrics - To track for each stages.

A set of automated rules that execute before or after specific events like lead creation, updating or even deletion. It allows developers to perform anything based on the events and their business logic.

Some example scenarios:

- Send a welcome email to a lead when they are created in your CRM.
- Update lead status whenever the lead stage changes in the pipeline.

You can sign up for a free ZohoCRM developer account [here](https://www.zoho.com/crm/signup.html).

Once You are created your account, Follow the steps carefully,

You're required to create a client app when using the OAuth 2.0 JWT bearer authorization flow.

Open Zoho API Console from [here](https://api-console.zoho.com) and Create a new connected app by clicking `Add Client` in top right corner (Refer Screenshot Below).

- Now you have to select the Client Type from these option. Since this is a browser based application, you can choose `Client-based Applications`.

- Fill basic informations like client name, Homepage URL, authorized URL, Domain. Keep localhost for now. You can change this to your website url once you moved to production. (Refer Screenshot Below)

Click save ZohoCRM to create a app for you with `Client ID` and `Client Secret`.

Once created, click on manage consumer details, make a note of `Client ID` and `Client Secret` and fill these details in you .env file.

Apex is one of the programming language developed by salesforce specifically for the Salesforce CRM. It is primarily used for writing server side code, such as triggers, classes, and controllers, to extend the capabilities of Salesforce.

Some of the key characteristics of Apex:

- Object-Oriented : It follows OOP concept that allows developers to define and create classes, objects, and interfaces.

- Strongly-Typed : Variables must be declared with a specific data type and cannot be implicitly converted to other types.

- Triggers : Code snippets that execute before or after specific events like lead creation, updating or even deletion. It allows developers to perform anything based on the events and their business logic.

- Web Services : Supports to expose custom web services, allowing external systems to interact with Salesforce and perform CRUD operations.

- Unit Testing : It has built-in support for unit testing which allows developers to write a test cases to check the quality of the code and identifying and fixing issues early.

It is a web development framework developed by salesforce specifically for building custom user interfaces and pages within the Salesforce. SOQL (Salesforce Object Query Language) is a query language used to retrieve data from Salesforce databases. <h1 id="generate-key">Generate Private Key and Self-Signed Digital Certificate</h1>

This process produces two files:

- `server.key` - The private key. Which is used to sign the JWT claim generated by your code.
- `server.crt` - The digital certificate. You upload this file when you create the required connected app.

1. Open a terminal or command prompt.
2. Install OpenSSL on your computer. Please check whether it is installed or not.

- In macOS or Linux

which openssl
```

- In Windows

```bash
where openssl
```

3. Change to our app directory.

```bash
cd app
```

4. Generate a private key and self-signed digital certificate.

```bash
openssl req -x509 -sha256 -nodes -days 36500 -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout private-key.pem -out cert.pem
```

<h1 id="configuration">Salesforce Configuration</h1>

You can sign up for a free salesforce developer account [here](https://developer.salesforce.com/signup).

You'll get a email from salesforce on sucessfull signup. In this email, you’ll get your verification link, developer URL and user name. On verifiying, you’ll be asked to enter the password initially. Verify your password and proced which then it’ll redirect to your home page. (These are one time setup).

Once You are created your account, Follow the steps carefully,

You're required to create a connected app when using the OAuth 2.0 JWT bearer authorization flow.

- Navigate to `App Manager` in `Apps` and Create a new connected app by clicking `New Connected App` in top right corner (Refer Screenshot Below).

- Fill basic informations like app name, API name(salesforce generate for you based on app name or else you can have your own), email, Most importantly enable OAUTH settings and give http://localhost:8080/auth/callback as callback URL , enable use digital signature and upload your digital signature that we have generated by using openssl. Select and add the required scope. (For testig you can select all the scopes). (Refer Screenshot Below)

Click save and wait few minutes for salesforce to create a app for you.

Once created, click on manage consumer details, make a note of `Consumer Key` and `Consumer Secret` and fill these details in you .env file.

We have already seen one of Five Ws, Which is nothing but What is GraphQL, Let see another Four Ws.

GraphQL was first built and used by facebook in 2012 internally and was released externally in 2015. Facebook identified themselves with an issue. Facebook started to suffer poor performances and frequently crashed as the become more complex. Facebook solved this issue by developing a technology called GraphQL. It is designed to make APIs fast, flexible and developer friendly. It cab be even deployed within an IDE known as GraphiQL.

<h1 id="rest-api"> How it is different from REST API?</h1>

- In REST API, we usually use HTTP Methods like GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE whereas in GraphQl we use Query, Mutation and Subscription.
- With Traditional REST API, we have to create seperate end point based on the request. When your app gets complicated, It is hard to scale because of hundrads of hundrads routers or more. GraphQL uses a single endpoint where everything is handled. Scaling an application is simple when compared to REST API,
- GraphQL allows us to fetch the data that is required. It allows us to specify which data has to be return whereas in REST API, It return all the data from the backend.
- GraphQL uses Type System for describing our backend. (Typescript hardcore fans will get this.)
- GraphQL is self documented. GraphiQL will automatically document all your queries and mutataions. Also GraphiQL allows developer and tester to debug and test without using the apollo client.
- GraphQL is way faster than some of the popular traditional API's.

Apart from this, GraphQL have other advantages as well as disadvantages.

- Strongly typed : Each layer of a GraphQL query corresponds to a particular type, and each type describes a set of available fields.
- Defines a data shape : When GraphQL queries are requested to graphql server, it returns the response simple and required shape. So, it facilitates you to write a specific query according to your requirement.

- GraphQL Rate Limiting : In Rest API, we can limit the request whereas in GraphQL it is not possible.
- GraphQL Caching : Implementing a cache is more complecated than REST API.

Let say you went for a outing and decided to do several things like gave a college notes to your friend, purchasing shoes at mall, went to bank to withdraw, etc.

In REST model, you have to travel at different places to complete them. On the other hand, In GraphQL, you can tell your friend to assist to do everything for you. You’ll just travel to your friend house only.

<h2 id="schemas">Schemas</h2>

Central to every GraphQL server is its schema. GraphQL schema describe the pattern or shape of the graph. It gives idea about the data which operations can perform on the server. It is written in easy and readable SDL or Schema Definition Language. It’s like a How the data can be requested from the server. Here’s a sample SDL

```

If you look at the above schema, it clearly state that Computer type contains name,modal, memory,processor of string type and ! represent NOT NULL type and Human type contains name and age of string and not null type. Apart from int and string other data type like float,list, etc also supported in GraphQL. So this schema allows us to write a query and mutation in GraphQL.

<h2 id="resolvers">Resolvers</h2>

Resolver is a function that's responsible for populating the data for a single field in your schema. It can populate that data in any way you define, such as by fetching data from a back-end database or a third-party API.

Here’s a example :

Same as SQL, GraphQL Query is the way to retrive the data from the backend server. It is same as using GET Method in REST.

Let’s say you want to get the customer name and age from the backend stored in the database, you would have use the query like given below .

```

Let’s say you want to get the specific customer information from the database, you would have use the query like this.

  user(id: "23") {
    name

  }
}
```

Here we have another main advantage of GraphQL is it support quering the nested information like we use JOIN in SQL. Now let’s assume you want to query customer information along with the order details, query structure look like this..

  customer {

    orders {

      amount
    }
  }
}
```

Mutation is the way to add, update or delete the data. It is same as using POST, PUT, and DELETE Method in REST.

Using mutation we can perform create, modify or delete in the backend. Let say you want to create customer, mutation structure look like given below.

Subscription is a way to retrieve data just like query but the difference is that subscription continuously listen for updated values and send updated values to client that choose to listen to real-time message from the server. for that it establishes long lasting connection with server.

Basic subscription looks like this:
